Celebrating matters. When we celebrate our accomplishments and victories no matter how big or small we magnify the good things in life.
Life is filled with challenges but if we’ll focus on the good, we’ll see the things that are worthy of celebration. Acts of celebration matter because they feed our soul joy and validation.
What have you celebrated lately?
No matter what’s happening in life, there’s always something to celebrate.
REASON TO CELEBRATE
You were born – that’s a reason to celebrate – because you matter.
Did you know that the Asian elephant carries their young for eighteen months before birthing? Wow. That’s a long time.
Giving birth is a good reason to celebrate. If you’re a momma, you understand.
Writing and publishing a book can easily be compared to pregnancy and birthing*.
I “carried” my book Because You Matter: How to Take Ownership of Your Life So You Can Really Live for eighteen months like an Asian elephant. Giving birth to it through publishing was a reason to celebrate but now I have another reason.
I’m celebrating a milestone.
MILESTONES
Milestones are a defined as a significant change or stage of development.
What’s the first thing that comes to your mind as a milestone? Perhaps a graduation? A wedding? Maybe a baby’s first step? All of those are worthy of celebrating.
The milestone I’m celebrating is:
- Because You Matter’s first birthday!
Over this past year Because You Matter has had many other milestones too.
Two super exciting ones are:
- being published in audio (available on all audio platforms)
- becoming a Ten Finalist winner in the 2020 Author Elite Awards

Because you’re reading this, you are a reader. Books wouldn’t matter without you.
I celebrate you and your part in my celebration. Because Matter wouldn’t exist without you.
In the Note to Reader in Because You Matter I wrote how it was a work of love written for you. Chapter one ends with these words:
This book exists because God wants you to know how much you’re loved—how much you matter. He wants you to heal, grow, and embrace the abundant life designed for you. The title of this book was whispered to my heart by the Spirit of Grace, commissioning this message for you.
Love said it best. Because you matter.
